Inspection

An Excellent School from Start to Finish

We are now in receipt of the Independent Schools Inspectorate, ISI, inspection report for Abingdon School. It is overwhelmingly excellent (the highest inspection rating) and strongly endorses the very high standards of teaching and learning, the ‘Other Half’ programme and pastoral support we offer. The report for Abingdon Preparatory School is similarly excellent, which is a wonderful accolade for the Abingdon Foundation.

Inspection may be a snapshot over five days, but it reflects what the School does over a much longer period of time. I pay tribute to my predecessor Mark Turner for his able stewardship which has led to this positive outcome for us today.

Warmest congratulations and thanks to all colleagues and the boys. This endorsement of the life and work of Abingdon is thoroughly well deserved. Well done everyone!
