Wycliffe Head was the first big opportunity of 2024 for the J15-18 crews to test their speed. Racing in the morning division the 1st eight were the fastest boat down the course winning the J18 eights event by 40 seconds. The 2nd 8+ were 5th and fastest out of the 2nd eights. The J16 crews also performed well racing up an age group finishing 9th and 11th. The J15s, racing in eights for the first time ever, had a promising start becoming joint winners of the J15 eights event in a dead heat with Wallingford RC. The B and C crews had good races in an event made up mainly of A crews from other schools. Everyone enjoyed what was a great event over at Wycliffe. It was a promising start to the racing season as we build up to the Schools Head of the river at the end of March.
