The U16 tennis team travelled to Nottingham Tennis Centre for the regional finals of the National Championships. They won the Oxfordshire league last term and two knockout rounds against winners of other county competitions to reach the final 16 in the UK. Having had a very early start to travel to Nottingham as well as being drawn against the favourites for the competition in the semi finals it was always going to be an uphill battle and the Abingdon team succumbed to the power hitting of Repton School. In the third and fourth place play off we secured a draw against Ellesmere College, a school with an attached tennis academy. Thanks go to Cyrus, Dan, Mikey, Ollie and Bosco for their efforts in the competition.
