On a sunny, but somewhat windy Friday afternoon, the top senior and junior players in the School competed in the annual Pre-Season Tournament on the School's MUSA and hard courts. The standard of play augurs well for the forthcoming season.
Both the senior and junior segments of the tournament were very competitive. For the seniors, there was one clear winning pair: Tom Buckle and Sam Christie. However, the two runners-up were not far behind: Lafite Lo and Will Pearson; George Jeffreys and Max Hall.
The junior section was even more closely contested. However, the winning pair, winning the most games (by one, due to a tie-break), was Will Taylor and Felix Breach. There were excellent performances from Michael Porter and Jimmy Strainge, as well as Huba Varady and Cameron Yu.
Congratuations to all players who took part and we look forward to the Pre-Season Tennis Camps over Easter.
