Last Wednesday Abingdon hosted three schools, Bryanston, Merchant Taylors’ and John Hampden, in the National Schools Plate Competition. Our team consisted of Nikhil Vyas, Will Taylor, James Munday, Max Hall, Toby Rowles, Alex d'Arcy and Felix Loeffen, and they all put in excellent performances.
We beat John Hampden 161-94, Bryanston 158-122, and Merchant Taylors’ 165-75. We have now qualified in first place for the finals in Nottingham, to be played on Friday 22 March. Congratulations to the whole team on a great result!
