Last Thursday, James Gibson and I partook in the School’s Mace Debating Championship’s Regional Heat and, together with St Helen’s, were one of the two teams to make it through to the Regional Finals that will take place in March. Without a doubt one of the most competitive competitions for debating so far in the process, it was a real pleasure and challenge to debate in favour of giving STEM a greater place in our curriculum. We are both grateful to our hosts St Edward’s as well as to the other teams who took part, especially Radley, who was our opposition in the debate. A final thanks must go to Mr Jackson who has helped greatly in the process and accompanied us to the event.
