Steve Bates (Ex Wasps and England) coached the Year 8s on Friday. The emphasis was on safe and effective tackling by getting in close and controlling the hit from side-on. Matt Gold (Director of Rugby at Abingdon School) and Steve will be regularly coaching all of our year groups on a Monday and Friday until the end of the Autumn term.
