Xavier and Arthur recently competed in the IAPS Triathlon at Monkton Prep School and secured two fantastic results.
Set in the idyllic rolling countryside on the outskirts of Bath, competitors tested themselves over various distances and against athletes from across the country.
Xavier, racing in the U13 age category completed a 300m swim, 6km bike and 2.4km run in a time of 32 minutes and 21 seconds. Due to the time trial format, Xavier found himself racing alone, with 2 other athletes battling it out together behind him. He eventually finished in an impressive 3rd place, earning himself a spot on the podium!
Arthur raced in the U11 category completing a 200m swim, 4km bike and 1.8km run in a time of 25 minutes and 24 seconds. Despite taking a fall on the bike leg he picked himself up to finish just off the podium in 4th place. A tremendous effort and display of resilience!
