The U12s played an exciting game of hockey, enabling them to learn a great deal from playing a competitive match. Abingdon Prep demonstrated strong passing skills and space on the field, often breaking through the St Hugh’s defence. We now need to work on following up passes and positioning ahead of the ball when approaching the goal, in order to make the most of the opportunity to score. Matteo scored the APS goal, having had it beautifully set up by George.
The U13s also had a fast paced game. We demonstrated skill in beating players and using the width of the pitch to create space. St Hugh’s were quick and showed great skill in beating players.
