Last Wednesday, the U13 and U11 ventured to the Oratory and Oratory Prep School, whilst the U12 and U10 hosted Oratory Prep School at home. The pupils enjoyed a fantastic afternoon of football in some highly competitive matches. See below for a short match report from Jamie in our U13A team:
We started the game full of confidence as it was our first game of the season and wanted to start strong. We started the game well, scoring an early goal from Noah with a beautiful shot into the bottom corner. Then about ten minutes later we deservedly won a corner which was taken by our set piece-taker Paul who fired the ball into the box to Paddy to tap an easy ball into the net. We ended the first half with our heads held high. After a fantastic half time pep talk by Roger we went back onto the pitch eager to score more. The next goal was struck beautifully by Huck after another corner, going up by three. Shortly afterwards two quick goals by Paul with the second one taking it past the keeper into the corner flag to then curl it into the open net and we continued to battle until the final whistle. In the dying minutes a goal from Freddie then quickly followed by another goal by Noah set us on to win the game 7-0.
