Last week, Year 5 brought their History topic on HMS Victory to life by going to visit the vessel at Portsmouth Historic Dockyards. Before the trip, each pupil had researched a real life member of the crew who had been part of the Battle of Trafalgar. Once aboard, they quickly established which deck they would have spent the majority of their time on and got a feel for the space and daily life of their crew member. The pupils were full of questions and had a brilliant time.
