Our Year 8 pupils received a very informative presentation from Mr Price, Head of Classics at Abingdon School, to help them with their Year 9 options. Following discussions of the influence of the Ancient Greek language on modern English, as well as references to Greek gods and contemporary historical events, the pupils are well placed to consider whether they might continue studying Latin, or add Ancient Greek or Ancient History to their timetables next year.
