Abingdon U13 A, B and C teams turned out in force to play Wood Green School in the Year 7 and 8 LTA team tennis competition. There was excellent tennis from all the players with some superb shots and hard fought matches. The clash between John Cairns and Wood Green's No. 1 seed was super, with Cairns digging deep and winning in the end.
It was great to see the boys progressing and it's clear that Abingdon tennis will continue to be strong as these students move through the school. The A and B teams won their rubbers, unfortunately a lack of time stopped the C game and we will make sure this is rescheduled in the next half term.
