26 September 2017

On Sunday 24 September members of the cross-country team raced in the Longworth 10k. Its picturesque route along the Thames Path and around rural villages make it an event the team always looks forward to. Despite the very warm day and tricky conditions underfoot, the Abingdon contingent did well with 4 Abingdonians in the top 10, which included Mr James in 2nd (37:58), Calum Steer in 3rd (38:25), Henry Barlow in 4th (39:01) and Josh Crichton in 7th (39:49). Alfie Monger-Godfrey must also be commended for narrowly missing out on a top 10 finish, placing 11th in a time of 42:27, after only recently joining the squad. Congratulations to all those who took part.
