On Saturday, the cross-country team set out to Sevenoaks school for the Knole run – one of our favourite races of the year. The 9.4km course at Knole park is “proper cross-country” with tough uphills, rapid downhills and muddy, wet and cold conditions. Even though the team were thwarted by injury, they ran well with strong performances from 6 boys. In a strong field of 230 school boy athletes exceptional performances came from Henry Barlow who came in 15th after being 190th last year and Matthew Kunov who came in 73rd after being 188th last year. These tremendous improvements have not come without hard work.

Places and times:

Calum Steer: 6th – 33:52
Henry Barlow: 15th – 35:00
Fergus Mitchell: 42nd – 36:48
Alex Pennington: 67th – 37:58
Matthew Kunov: 73rd – 38:06
Kiran Gathani: 187th – 47:32
