In the final week of the summer term, five Lower Sixth students successfully completed their Gold Duke of Edinburgh Canoeing Assessment by paddling over 110 km down the River Wye from Locksters Pool to Monmouth. Applying skills honed during their Easter practice, the team navigated moving water, camped along the river, and demonstrated exceptional resilience and teamwork over the four days. The demanding expedition culminated in an impressive 3:45 AM sunrise paddle on the final day, marking a major achievement that left the students with newfound confidence and lasting memories.
