On Sunday many of the new boarders went on an orientation walk around Abingdon. They walked along the River Thames, and were able to see part of a dragon boating event, before crossing Abingdon Lock to Abbey Meadows. They saw where the original abbey that gives Abingdon its name used to be, and then visited the original site of Abingdon School before it moved to its present location 150 years ago. They then had some free time to explore the shops and cafes of the town centre.
