Two first years, Harish and Joe, travelled to Cambridge University on Monday to participate in the National Final of the Foreign Languages Spelling Bee. Both pupils placed in the Regional Final, winning them a place at the competition in Cambridge. The competition was stiff and they narrowly missed out on a place in the grand final at the end of the day, despite successfully spelling words like “Naturwissenschaft” and “Fremdsprache”.
