Week 6 of the season got off to a positive note as the U16s travelled to Stowe, returning with a 3-1 win, whilst the senior 3rd XI earned a hard fought 0-0 draw against Stowe 2nd XI. On Waste Court, an Oscar Frost header earned the 2nd XI a 1-1 draw against Stowe 1st XI, a thoroughly deserved result for the Abingdon side.

On the same afternoon the U13 As worked hard against Oratory Prep 1st XI, 1-3 the final score, whilst two goals for Jack Veal, and a goal a piece for Ethan Barksfield and Ibrahim Atitebi helped the 12 As to a 5-1 win over Oratory Prep 2nd XI. A Tom Mennie hat-trick helped see the U13 Bs to a 5-0 win, whilst the U12 Bs beat Oratory Prep 4th XI 5-3.

Moving to Thursday and Abingdon welcomed Wellington College for the first time. Eddie Good continued his excellent run of goal scoring form as the U15 As won 2-0, whilst the U14s played well for their 6-0 win at Tilsley Park.

The first half of term was drawn to a close with the annual Friday Night Lights fixture between Abingdon 1st XI and MCS. In what was a tough and competitive fixture, a fine finish on the angle from close range by Huw Williams was enough to give the Abingdon 1st XI a deserved 1-0 win.

Many thanks for your continued support on the touchline this first half of term.
