Last week marked the end of the football season, and was a fitting time to celebrate the success of the Football Club this term. On Thursday evening over 90 pupils and parents attended the Lower School Awards Evening, for which Daniel Bond, Performance Analyst at Oxford United was on hand to present the U12 and U13 squads with their trophies. The lower school captains gave some very entertaining and humourous speeches.

Friday saw the second annual Abingdon School Football Club Dinner, on what was a highly enjoyable evening. Old Abingdonian and current Scottish Premiership footballer Alex Fisher was the special guest for the evening and spoke superbly with a number of messages for the boys to take away. First team captain Paddy Leggett gave an excellent summary of the season, together with a reminder of a few humorous moments that some players may like to forget!
