It has been a fantastic weekend of sport for Abingdon. In swimming, at the prestigious Bath and Otter Cup, our team placed 3rd in the Medley Relay and 6th nationally in the Freestyle relay. There were positie performances for our Badminton 1st and 2nd teams against Bromsgrove; and for our Basketball team against Bloxham. The picture was a little more mixed in football, with a number of wins, draws, and narrow defeats against Radley; however it was great to see 5 senior football XIs in action. The Lower School football sides also had their first run outs of the season against Abingdon Prep and The Dragon. Hockey remains strong with the 16A XI winning the 3rd round of the National Plate and Abingdon being declared overall winners in the U16 County Championships. In the U14 Regional Finals, Abingdon made it through to the semi-finals against Radley, sadly missing out on a place in the final with a 0-1 loss. Both the U14 and U15 teams put in vailaint displays at Stowe 7s, whilst the fencers put in another commanding performance against Eton.
