On Monday, the Chapel Choir sang a service of evensong jointly with the choir of Elstree School in the beautiful setting of Dorchester Abbey. The two choirs made a fittingly majestic sound in Stanford’s Evening Service in C, one of the grandest settings in the repertoire, and also sang music by Mozart and Ayleward, along with S. S. Wesley’s great Eastertide anthem ‘Blessed be the God and Father’.
