Seven boys from First Year to Lower Sixth travelled to Winchester Sports and Racquet Club to play Portsmouth Grammar at Croquet. We played a series of pairs games on the fabulous lawns and were extremely pleased to come away with a win for this inaugural fixture and the first match of the season for the Croquet Squad.
We also enjoyed our first week's evening training with coaches at Blewbury Croquet Club this week. Two boys had one on one coaching and learnt to “stalk the ball”, “cast” and roll shots…half-roll, full-roll and top-roll!
In all, a great start to the croquet season and more to come aiming towards the School Championships in late September.
