CREST Awards recognise school students who hone their investigative skills and employ the scientific method to conduct their own piece of research. CREST Gold can be used to enhance UCAS personal statements and the award is recognised and respected by universities and employers. Six Abingdon boys, one now an OA, have gained the Gold Award in the science communication category for planning, resourcing and evaluating the impact of the very popular and successful Primary Science Club which now runs every Tuesday during Period 8 in the ASP Lab. This is a tremendous example of Abingdon boys taking the lead in developing a new project, contributing to the local community and receiving high level recognition for their work. CREST Gold Award certificates were presented to Freddie Nicholson, Alfie Marshall, Oliver Lee, Alvin Tam and Dennis Wei in HM’s Assembly and a certificate will also be sent on to OA Colm Lambert who initiated the project.
