Members of the CCF attended an Adventure Training Camp during half term. Below are a few words from some of the cadets who attended:
LCpl James Robinson: The AT trip is always exhilarating, and this year was no exception. We did a wide range of activities, from whitewater rafting to climbing around a rock face, and walking on a thin wire 30 metres up in the air. I enjoyed this year's trip greatly, and look forward to next year's.
LCpl Daniel Thomson: We had an excellent week of adventure training. During the first two days we visited a water park in Blackpool and the brilliant Blackpool Pleasure Beach, then the following day we started the adventure training. This included some exciting canyoning and white water rafting, and the challenging Via Ferrata at Honister.
Cpl Oliver Williams: All of the activities were fun and challenging, made enjoyable by the knowledgeable and experienced instructors running them. The bowling and cinema were great evening activities to provide some relaxation following the physical training programme, and the trips to Blackpool Pleasure Beach and the Extreme Trampoline Park were greatly enjoyed by everyone.
LCpl Jayden Zamler: I enjoyed this week very much. We did so many new activities which were both challenging and very enjoyable. My favourite was the Via Ferrata, where we climbed up and down a cliff looking over a beautiful view into the valley. The adventurous training was amazing!
LCpl Michael Lam: My favourite part of the week was canyoning where we abseiled off a waterfall and jumped of rocks eight metres high.
