On Saturday 20 May Abingdon School held a black tie fundraising dinner to support the senior rugby school tour to Japan this summer. The evening included a drinks reception, three course dinner, live auction, silent auction and raffle. The night was compered by Jonty Hearnden (seen on BBC’s Cash in the Attic and Bargain Hunt) with a question and answer session by special guest Manu Tuilagi (Leicester Tigers, England, British Lions). The tourists helped on the night by selling raffle tickets, waiting tables, and with auction prizes.
A huge thank you to parents, families and friends who supported the evening creating a wonderful atmosphere. Special thanks to the group of parents who helped with the organisation, spending many hours preparing the evening.
Upcoming Japan tour fundraising events are the Touch Rugby tournament on Waste Court as well as the British Lions Breakfast. Look for more information coming soon!
