27 March 2017
It has been a really exciting few days for the staff and Science Ambassadors of the Abingdon Science Partnership who have been very busy helping to run the 2017 Abingdon ATOM Festival of Science and Technology. This five day event showcases Abingdon's position at the epicentre of some of the leading research facilities in the country and its extremely important international links. The school has made an enormous contribution to the ATOM Festival through hosting seven lectures by renowned scientists in the Amey Theatre; running four events as part of the dedicated schools' day and opening the Yang Science Centre for a Family Science Fair on the final Sunday of the Festival. The ASP's pupil Science Ambassadors, the Science Department's technician team and the Amey Theatre staff have all worked hard to make the events a total success and to ensure that ATOM 2018 is already being planned, running from Wednesday 14 to Sunday 18 March next year. Put the dates in your diary!
