Now in its second year the Abingdon Relays is a great event hosted at Cox's Field. Teams are made up of 5 participants who each complete a 2km course (juniors) or 3km course (inters) before passing the baton onto their next team mate.

The lead changed hands multiple times during both races, but a storming final leg from 1st year Ralph Allen, saw him close a 6 second gap to take the lead and overall victory in the junior race for his team. In the Intermediate race Abingdon recorded 4/5 of the fastest lap times with both Johnny James and Quinn Miell-Ingram running under 10 minutes. Johnny James secured the fastest lap time of the day in 9 minutes 29 seconds.

These performances should give the boys confidence going into the first round of the English Schools Cross-Country Cup competition that takes place in a week's time.
