On Tuesday Abingdon welcomed a number of schools to Tilsley Park to compete in the annual multi-event and kick start the 2019 athletics season. The U12 and U13 competitors had the opportunity to compete in 4 disciplines: a sprint, middle distance, jump and throw.
There were some impressive performances from the young athletes given it is early in the season. Special mention must go to Elliot Broadbent who won each event he entered (shot put, long jump, 200m). Other notable performances came from Oliver Veal, Jack Veal, Finnbar Scott and Luke Skates who all won their respective events.
Well done to everyone who competed and contributed to the overall team victory!
