This year’s Be More Griffen Day took place on Friday and saw all of the First Year pupils attending a special programme of lessons designed to develop skills that will be useful to them during their time in Lower School and beyond, looking at topics such as presentation skills, how to prepare for tests, reviewing their own work using The 4 Rs, and how to use The Grow Model to set their own goals. They were then joined by Second Year pupils in the afternoon for an inspiring talk and demonstration by former BMX halfpipe World Champion Mike Mullen. The highlight was watching Mike jump his bike over no fewer than four members of Lower School staff! Mike then cut the ribbon from his BMX to officially open the entrance to the new Lower School Houseroom space.
