Lower Sixth Geography students recently completed the annual fieldwork trip, gathering the primary data needed for their independent A Level investigations. Human Geography students carried out research in Birmingham and Wrexham, while Physical Geography students explored a range of environments including the scree slopes at Llangollen, the coastline at Criccieth, and the sand dunes at Harlech.
The trip also included a walk through the stunning Nant Ffrancon Valley. We were lucky to avoid the only poor weather of the week and managed to see the dramatic landscape of Cwm Idwal. The fieldwork gave students valuable experience in data collection techniques and helped prepare them for the next stage of their coursework projects.
