This season has been another hugely successful year for football across the school, with participation and performances reaching new heights. Across all age groups and teams, the football club has continued to grow both competitively and socially, creating opportunities for more pupils than ever before to represent the school.

The overall statistics for the season reflect the strength and depth of football throughout the club. Our students played 119 fixtures across 22 teams with an impressive 58% win rate overall.

One of the standout achievements of the season came from the U16s, who were crowned Vale of White Horse champions after an excellent campaign. Their success was built on outstanding teamwork, resilience, and consistent performances throughout the competition, and the squad should be incredibly proud of what they achieved representing the school.

The 1st XI also produced a historic season by completing the coveted league and cup double. Winning either competition would have been a remarkable achievement, but to secure both in the same season is testament to the quality, dedication, and mentality shown by the squad throughout the year. The team consistently delivered in the biggest moments and have firmly written themselves into the school’s football history.

Beyond the silverware, this season has been defined by the growth of football participation across the school. We recorded the highest level of involvement the club has ever seen, with more pupils than ever attending training sessions, fixtures, and football activities throughout the year. Such enthusiasm for the sport has allowed the club to expand significantly, we successfully fielded a 6th XI highlighting the incredible depth of talent and commitment across the school community.

The continued success of the football programme would not be possible without the hard work and dedication of staff, coaches, and students alike. Training standards, commitment to fixtures, and support for one another have all contributed to a positive and ambitious football culture that continues to strengthen year on year.

Overall, this has been a memorable season for the football club — one filled with success, growth, and historic achievements. With participation at an all-time high and strong foundations across every age group, the future of school football looks extremely bright. We look forward to the 2026/27 season with football becoming a free choice for Sixth Form in the first term, girls football and a tour to Valencia on the horizon.
