On Tuesday, our Second Year pupils enjoyed an enriching and engaging trip to London, visiting both the Natural History Museum and the Science Museum. The day combined exploration with language learning, as pupils were set the challenge of gathering information about the exhibitions while completing a specially designed booklet.

What made the visit particularly unique was the linguistic element: pupils completed their work either in French or in German, putting their Modern Foreign Languages skills into practice in a real-world context. The activity took on the feel of a treasure hunt, as students navigated the museums, searched for key information, and worked collaboratively to piece together their findings.

The combination of discovery, independence, and language use made for a highly rewarding experience. Pupils rose to the challenge admirably, with all booklets successfully completed by the end of the day.

It was a thoroughly enjoyable trip, and a wonderful example of learning beyond the classroom.
