It’s been a fantastic season for Abingdon tennis, with some outstanding achievements to celebrate.
We qualified for the National Finals, where we faced off against the top tennis schools in the country. After some tough matches, we finished on a high by winning our final game, placing 15th overall in the country – a brilliant result at this level.
In the ISTA Tournament, our team battled through five intense knockout rounds to win the prestigious Clark Trophy, defeating Westminster School in the final. This marks only the second time Abingdon has lifted the trophy since 1957 – a historic and proud moment for the team. Meanwhile our two U15 pairs both performed strongly, finishing 3rd out of 6 in their respective group stages, while our Lower School pair qualified for the main draw before narrowly missing out against some outstanding young players.
A huge congratulations and thank you to everyone who represented the school, especially Matt, Sam, Dan, Jacob, Isaac, and Ollie, who were key players in both the Nationals and the ISTA victory.
