Year 8 are studying architecture this term in Art. We have been exploring architectural embellishments more recently, particularly those found in Oxford as part of prominent churches, and universities.

Using chalk and charcoal the boys observed from photographs noting the shapes, textures and forms of the gargoyles, their exaggerated features and how to add a range of tones to enhance their 3D qualities. Such a talented bunch!
