Year 8 enjoyed a super afternoon of activities at Abingdon School. This included a Science practical looking at the biochemistry of glucose, where they were able to use chromatography to extract pigments from leaves, and measure the energy content in a starch pellet by setting fire to the pellet in a fume cupboard. Then it was onto English where they spent time writing poems and finally they played football and completed a quiz all about Abingdon School with the sixth form peer support leads, some of which were at Abingdon Prep themselves. We hope this has made them more excited for their final week at APS before they venture off to new pastures.
