Abingdon Prep School Year 8 returned to Studland for 3 days of bush craft, sandwiched between visits to sites relevant to their history and geography studies. We were blessed once again to have a wonderful guide, in the form of Miranda – what fun! – who brought alive the history of Corfe Castle. The focus was on learning what life would have been like in the castle during the medieval period, particularly during the Civil War between Stephen and Matilda and during the reign of King John. The boys were attentive and suitably impressed, including by the passing steam trains.
