Year 5 enjoyed a great visit to HMS Victory in Portsmouth. The weather was suitably benign so that the boys enjoyed a smooth sailing on board. They made a tour of all the decks, meeting informative guides en route and took part in a hands-on activity involving signalling, tying knots and imagining being sailors from Nelson’s era. The boys’ behaviour was commented on – favourably! – by a number of visitors. They all returned to school more informed, stimulated and well stocked with souvenirs from the shop.
