This week we continued the Year 5’s exploration of Mexican art and the artist Frida Kahlo. They took much joy in teaching the Year 6 art club members all about Frida, her work and her exotic pets, a fawn, cat and a monkey!
However they hadn’t realised she had spent a large amount of time bedridden due to an accident and continued to paint and draw using a specially made ‘upside down’ eisel.
Well we had to try it out! Even our year 8 Art leaders climbed under the table to try out this fun way of sketching.
