Year 2 had a fabulous trip to the Earth Trust for their all day Forest School trip. Although the weather was hot, we had the relaxing shade of the woods. The children set up base camp at the Rookery site near Wittenham Clumps, and along with a few stops for snacks and lunch, busily set off exploring and making dens.They learnt about the legend of the Green Man and thought about how as Forest Schoolers, the children were now also custodians of the forest. Inspired by and sometimes incorporating the natural world around them, the boys created an array of clay sculptures. We also enjoyed creating and eating some colourful fruit kebabs before setting off tired but happy, back to school!
