Today saw Years 3 and 4 perform the Wind in the Willows. This was a most memorable and enjoyable performance of Kenneth Grahame’s classic story which still appeals today to young and old alike. So we had Toad, Ratty, Badger and Mole, plus the Stoats and the Weasels, their adventures all woven together in a clear narrative, interspersed with some lively choruses and songs. There were some very impressive solo performances and all the boys’ enthusiastic singing and participation was tremendously uplifting. The boys really rose to the occasion and we should like to thank the staff of the Junior Section, the Art Department and in particular Tara Copus in her musical capacity and Elizabeth Slater for her overall direction of the play, in giving the boys this wonderful opportunity to perform.
