Letter to Parents of boys in Y2 – Earth Trust, Forest School Trip on Wednesday 6 July 2022

Notices

Y3-8, Sports Photos

Dear Parents of all boys in Years 3-8,

Team photographs have been scheduled to be taken on the afternoon of Tuesday 5th July.

On that day, please send your son into school in clean PE kit, including white outdoor trainers. However, if they have cricket whites and shirts, please can they bring them in too in a separate bag. I am sure you will support us in reminding the boys to keep their kit clean during the day!

Boys will bring home sample photographs and order forms at a later date, as usual.

If you have any questions regarding this matter please email me.

Message from Karen Cornford, School Secretary

This is to let you know that any Lost Property we have in school will be laid out on tables on Monday next week (04 July) in the corridor just outside the school office for the boys to look through.

Weather permitting, we will carry these tables outside the glass doors at the front of school each day for parents to look through when they are collecting boys at the end of the day.

All items will be available to claim for three days (up to and including Wednesday 06 July).  Any items left after this date will be disposed of appropriately.

Message from Rachel Pairman, Deputy Head – Friday 8 July end of day collection

Term finishes next Friday 8 July. Pupils on the bus will leave at midday.

All other pupils can be collected from the following entrances where a member of staff will be available to call the relevant children on the radio.

Pre-Prep – Pre-Prep entrance

Year 3-4 – main glass doors

Year 5 – blue doors

Year 6 – by the fort

Years 7-8 – drum room door

Pre-Prep and older siblings can be collected at midday.

Pupils in Years 3-8 without older siblings can be collected between 12.15 and 12.30.

There will be limited parking on site because Year 8 parents will be attending the prize giving. If there are no spaces, you will be directed to the field opposite the school and will be able to walk over to collect your sons.

Many thanks

Rachel

This week’s ‘Friday Fink’

Please have a think and discussion about this over this weekend. The boys can then join Rachel Whitmore on Monday 4 July at morning break if they would like to discuss this topic.

Message from the JPA

Second Hand Uniform Sale – SHUS

Over the next few weeks we will be migrating the stock into a new location, which we hope will be more accessible for parents. Also Phoebe Gresford, who has wonderfully run SHUS for many years is stepping down and we need parents to help run the scheme going forward.  We know what a life line the shop ism and how it helps also reduce fabric waste and resources.  But we cannot do it without YOU!

If you’re interested in helping please message Sally Povolotsky on Classlist or email – [email protected]

The role shouldn’t take up more than a couple of hours a term.  Finally we wanted to say a huge thank you to Phoebe for all her amazing work.

Class Reps
Class Reps are the link between the school and our classes, they help remind us of dates, events, some run what’s app groups, organise parents meet ups and socials and much more. So your class community feels more than just a quick hello in the car park!
However, as the years pass, we end up with gaps in our network, and we really need your help!
DO YOU have a boy heading to these classes in 2022, if you do, we need YOU
