Today we had another successful fund raising with a ‘Wacky Shoes’ home clothes day. The boys all made a tremendous effort with their innovative designs which brightened the rather overcast day!
In an unprecedented move away from the wearing of bland conventional indoor and outdoor shoes, the school grounds played host to coloured-in trainers, animal slippers, jazzy wellies and even painted flippers! The day was a great success and has served to raise further funds for the Footsteps Foundation charity.
A few special mentions must go to a selection of particularly notable designs including decorated washing up gloves, shoes made from Lego and, with a seasonal theme, feet decorated in autumn leaves and conkers!
With more events still to come before Christmas, this year looks set to be another fantastic year of charity fundraising at Abingdon Prep.
