On Wednesday, our Year 7 boys took part in a Victorian Waxwork Museum. Each pupil was given a famous Victorian character and then tasked with writing a speech to persuade the curators that they should be allowed to stay in the museum and not be melted down into a pool of wax.

The boys researched their character, produced a poster and learned their speech off by heart. Then, once the museum was open, each waxwork came to life when their buzzer was pressed and recited their speech.

There were superb speeches, wonderful costumes and props as well as a fountain of knowledge. Well done, Year 7 – you really did bring English (and History) to life!
