On Wednesday the U11 D team travelled to Pinewood School. Abingdon Prep established a quick lead, and within 10 minutes were 3-0 up. Further goals followed, but defensive lapses meant that Pinewood were able to get off the mark towards the end of the first half, which ended at 5-2 in Abingdon Prep's favour. Further defensive weakness was evident in the first part of the second half with Pinewood going on to score five goals without response from Abingdon Prep. Despite managing to peg back the score to 7-7, setting up a potentially nail-biting finish, Pinewood School were the eventual winners finishing 9-7 in a hugely exciting game to watch. Well done to Edward for captaining the team and to Ollie for scoring a hat-trick. Other goal scorers were Harry, Aryaan, Scott and Archie.
