“Who is that trip trapping over my bridge?”
This was the booming sounds from the troll as he entered the Reception classroom! The boys were exploding with delight (and so was the troll), as they found out about his life and how he came to be living under a bridge. He was so hungry and kept telling us how much he was looking forward to something tasty. Some boys have suggested goat sausages, others asked if he liked liver and goose beaks with his goat. He got rather excited by this!
He explained that he was very lonely and there was an immediate rush of offers of friendship and later we cooked him chocolate river stone biscuits. Afterwards the boys were inspired to write him cards to say how much they wanted to be his friend and help him. We are keeping a beady eye out in case he should return!
