Pinewood hosted their 39th Annual Rugby Sevens Tournament on Wednesday 20 November. There were 12 schools in two pools of six. They included: The Elms, The Downs, Malvern, Beaudesert, Cothill, Wraxall, Cheltenham College, Dean Close, Wycliffe College, Pinewood and Prior Park.

vs. St Hugh’s Won 29 – 0 (7th/8th place play-off)
Unusually, Abingdon Prep got off to a slow start and lost their first three fixtures against very strong opposition. However, as the tournament progressed, the boys’ superior fitness told and they went on to win their remaining three fixtures in style, leaving their very best performance until their last game against St Hugh’s where they won by 29 – 0.
