Abingdon Prep entered the third Abingdon School Cross Country Relay Competition with an Under 13 A squad consisting of five runners from Years 6 – 8.
Over a fast, flat 1.8km course the boys ran in a relay format in very hot, dry conditions. Nathan got the team off to an excellent start and was within touching distance of the leading team after the first leg. However, Abingdon A pulled away slowly over the five legs. Nonetheless, we remained in touch for the whole race with Magdalen College School and finished in 3rd place. George posted the fastest split of the team in a time of 07:31. A great deal of experience will have been gained from our Year 6 and 7 runners.
