There was an unusual start to the evening of the summer concert this year. Jasper Perry (Year 8), our top music scholar, stood on the steps outside the Amey Theatre, heralding in the audience as they arrived. Once they were seated, the concert began in earnest and featured year group singing, instrumental ensembles, choirs and soloists, all of whom had gained music or academic awards.
Orchestra gave a spectacular opening to the concert with their performance of an arrangement of Holst’s ‘Jupiter’ from ‘The Planets’.
