Despite the worst efforts of storm Doris, our Year 4 boys thoroughly enjoyed their trip to Sulgrave Manor. It was a fascinating educational visit which brought to life our Tudor History topic. After putting on their doublet and hose, the boys had a great time exploring the Manor house and learning about Tudor life. All the boys agreed that they would not have enjoyed sea voyage during this time! Whilst in the kitchen, we were impressed by Luke’s skill with the flint and steel fire lighter – something we most definitely should not try at home! On the Tudor treasure hunt, the boys displayed excellent detective skills and found all the hidden gold, coins, chocolate and potatoes!
